I am writing in order to update you on the progress
of construction at the Avon Commons Shopping Center.
Since our last update, we have had less than ideal weather
conditions, but have made some progress nonetheless.
From the attached aerial photograph, it is clear that a
great deal of work has been progressing, including:
- Approximately 95% of the main sanitary trunk sewer line
and laterals have been installed.
- Approximately 90% of the storm sewer work has been
completed.
- The water main has been extended around the Target pad
and the main has been completed from Detroit Road down
Middleton along Avon Commons Drive back to Detroit Road,
including both meter vaults and backflow preventors.
We are currently in the process of getting ready to test
this first portion of the water main.
- Fencing is continuing to be installed along our southern
boundary line.
-
The Middleton roadway subgrade and utilities are completed
with the exception of the southern several hundred feet
near Detroit Road. We are getting ready to commence
pavement of Middleton Road during the month of May.
-
Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company is continuing to
work on our primary electric service, and we are preparing
to start excavation for the distribution lines on site
here during the month of May.
-
We are also anticipate commencing excavation for the
installation of gas lines throughout the site during the
month of May.
-
Grading operations have been limited due to the rain during
this month, although we have been successful in digging
the detention basin associated with the Middleton Road
work and making fills to the west of the Target area and
generally cleaning up the site to get ready for the better
weather we anticipate over the next several weeks.
-
We anticipate awarding the contract for the roadway
improvements in the next several weeks with construction
to commence in May.
Progress on the work continues to be excellent and meets
all or exceeds our projected schedule.
