``Northern Wilderness opens at Westfield Shoppingtown Midway
In the tradition of "Into the Sea" and "Safari: An African Adventure", the Lorain County Metro Parks is pleased to announce its 2003 exhibit, "Northern Wilderness." Once again hosted at the Westfield Shoppingtown Midway [formerly the Midway Mall], "Northern Wilderness" opens January 31, 2003 and closes on April 6, 2003.
The Lorain County Metro Parks is proud to present this exhibit of great and wild proportions. Take a hike through the living pine, fir and spruce forest. See mountains, beaver ponds and a waterfall. Crawl through a beaver lodge and hike up to a bear cave. See full-sized taxidermy of black bear, moose and beaver. Watch with wonder as live hawks, owls and other animals of the boreal forest tell their stories up close and personal.
