Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Holidays. While we are in the mood, Happy 40th anniversary to us!

1964 - 40th Year - 2004

Since we do not run a museum, the words were later chosen to identify what the Society was trying to do about Avon history. In today's lingo, it would be a "mission statement".

2004 MEETINGS - OLD TOWN HALL of 1871, 7:00 P.M., CORNER OF DETROIT AND STONEY RIDGE

MONDAY JAN. 5 NO MEETING (How's that for a great start?)

Usually weather is bad making it difficult for members and speaker. If weather permits, a chance to see "new" Council at City Hall.

MONDAY FEB. 2 KEITH FURNAS - THE FUTURE OF AVON ISLE

Keith and other members of the Avon Parks Board will have an open forum discussion.

MONDAY MAR. 1 REMARKABLE OHIOANS

Presented by Betty Lou Higgins, Eden Valley Enterprises

MONDAY APR. 5 THE LORAIN COUNTY PRESERVATION NETWORK

Marilyn Harley, Coordinator will explain what it is, where it has been, and what it hopes to be able to accomplish for all.

MONDAY MAY. 3 - THE GARFIELD HOUSE.

Ed Herdendorf, former OSU Professor, will present the history of the Garfield House in Sheffield Village.
