Community-wide yard sale

A community-wide yard sale will be tomorrow and Saturday in Avon, sponsored by the Avon French Creek Antique Association. A list of sale locations is available at the Country Store, 2516 Stoney Ridge Road.

Breakfast for men

The Men's Fellowship of the Avon United Methodist Church will meet for its Saturday morning breakfast at 7:30 a.m. July 15 at the Cracker Barrel restaurant at 7:30 a.m. at Detroit and Abbe roads. Guests welcome.

Investment group to meet

The Avon Detroit Road Investment Club will meet Sunday, July 16 at 10:30 a.m. at the Avon United Methodist Church, Detroit Road. Guests are welcome.

Patriot's band performance

The Patriot's Community Band, under the direction of Avon Lake's Harry Pfingsten, will be performing Sunday, July 16 at 3 p.m. at the new Avenbury Lakes Residential Community on Detroit Road in Avon. The concert will be in the gazebo by the lake and will feature a variety of marches, Broadway show tunes and patriotic melodies. Pfingsten was the band director at Avon Lake High School for 27 years and now conducts the 60-member Patriot's band. Everyone is invited.

Friends' yard sale

The Avon Friends of the Library is sponsoring a yard sale Saturday, July 15, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at 37485 Harvest Drive.
