"Rummage, bake sale
A rummage and bake sale will be held Thursday, April 27 at the Faith Lutheran Church, 2265 Garden Drive. The one-day sale is sponsored by the Ladies Guild and will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Men's fellowship meeting
The Men's Fellowship of the Avon United Methodist Church will meet at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at Cracker Barrel Restaurant at Abbe and SR 254. Guests are welcome.
Book talks scheduled
The Adult Book Discussion Group will meet at the Avon Library Monday, April 25 at 2 p.m. The Mother Daughter Book Discussion will meet at 7:30 p.m.
Luncheon card party
The St. Mary Altar & Rosary Society Spring Luncheon Card Party will be Wednesday, April 26 at noon at Tom's Country Place, 3442 Stoney Ridge. The menu includes 'hot' country chicken, scalloped potatoes, salad, cake and beverage. Admission is $6. Call 934-5722, 934-4078, 934-5933 or 934-6639 to register. Proceeds will benefit altar necessities.
All Daughter's Dinner
The All Daughter's Dinner hosted by the Avon United Methodist Church Women will be Saturday, May 13 at 6 p.m. in The Barn, 37711 Detroit Road. Tickets for this catered dinner are available at the church office. Adult tickets are $8; children 5 to 11 years, $3; and under age 5 are free. 'Daffy Dill' will entertain with puppets and stories.
Golden Buckeye applications
Golden Buckeye applications are available at the Avon Branch Library for applicants 60 years and older. The staff will assist in filling out the application and temporary Golden Buckeye slip. The library is located at 27485 Harvest Drive."
