Avon school news
The Cross Country Awards dinner for Avon High School students will be tonight at 7 p.m. at the Hometown Buffet Restaurant in Elyria. The school's Choir Boosters will hold a meeting Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. in the high school music room.
School Halloween parties
Halloween parties will be held during the day Friday, Oct. 27 at Avon East Elementary School.
Costume parade
Ghosts, goblins and Clinton-look-alikes may be lurking around at a costume parade Saturday at 8 p.m. at Avon High School.
Genealogy workshop
Finding your roots on the Internet is the topic of Saturday's genealogy workshop scheduled at the Avon Branch Library from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
Church men get together
The men's group of the Avon United Methodist Church will meet at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant Saturday morning at 7:30. Guests are welcome.
Register for story times
Preschool story time is being held for 2- to 5-year-olds at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31 in the Avon Branch Library. Preregistration is required by calling 934-4743.
