August hours for the high school

The Avon High School principal's office opened Aug. 1 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Aug. 24. Beginning Aug. 24, the first day of school, office hours will be 7:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. The guidance office opens Aug. 16 and will keep the same hours as the principal's office. Anyone needing to talk to a counselor should call 934-5115 to make an appointment.

High school student orientation

Orientation for the ninth grade students and all new students in grades 10 to 12 will be held Aug. 22 at 9:30 a.m. to noon at the high school.

Entertainment for summer readers

Ventriloquist Mark Wade will present a program to end the summer reading program at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7 at the Avon Branch Library. Admission is by ticket only. Call the library at 934-4743, for information.
