School news: Avon Middle School is celebrating Spirit Week today through Friday, Dec. 21. The Avon High School Choir Concert, grades eight through 12, is today at 7 p.m.
Second grade concert: The second grade Christmas concert at Avon Village School will be Tuesday, Dec. 18, at 7 p.m., and Wednesday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. The fifth grade Christmas Concert will be Thursday, Dec. 20, at 7 p.m. at Avon High School.
Holiday church program: Faith Lutheran Church, 226 Garden Drive, will have its children's Christmas program Sunday, Dec. 23, at 9:30 a.m. Christmas Eve Candlelight service will be at 7:30 p.m. and regular service on Sunday, Dec. 23 at 9:30 a.m.
Kiwanis Club to meet: Avon Kiwanis Club will meet in The Barn of the Avon United Methodist Church, Wednesday, Dec. 19 at 8 a.m.
Men's Fellowship breakfast:
The Men's Fellowship Breakfast of the Avon United Methodist Church will meet Saturday, Dec. 22, at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant on Detroit Road at 7:30 a.m.
Avon Historical Society
Monday, January 7, 2002, at 7pm -- a presentation on "Approaches to Preserving Historic Structures." The speaker is Kathleen C. Crowther, Executive Director of the Cleveland Restoration Society.
