Post plans holiday fun
The Avon Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 7035 will meet Thursday, April 12, to make plans with the auxiliary regarding Easter egg coloring activities scheduled for Friday, April 13. The post, located at 36950 Mills Road, is also planning a children's Easter Egg Hunt for Saturday, April 14, at 1 p.m.
Academic boosters
The Academic Booster Club will meet at 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 28, in Avon High School.
Choir, band festival
For the third consecutive year, Avon High School will be the site of the Lorain County Middle School Honors Choir and Band Festival on Thursday, April 5, at 7:30 p.m. Each year, middle school music students are selected from Lorain County schools to form an honors choir and band. This year there will also be a guest appearance by the Avon Middle School Jazz Ensemble.
Adult book group
The Adult Book Group will meet at the Avon Branch Library, 37485 Harvest Drive, on Tuesday, March 27, at 2 p.m. Guests are welcome.

Avon Village and East elementary:
- Thursday: Mini corn dogs, tator tots, cherry shape up, granola bar, milk
- Friday: Grilled cheese, tomato soup, pickle spears, fresh grapes, milk
- Monday: Chicken patty on bun, oven fries, cinnamon pears, milk
- Tuesday: Rotini with meat sauce, breadstick, peas and carrots, apple crisp, milk
- Wednesday: Cheesy pizza, garden salad, diced peaches, milk
- Thursday: Hot-dog on bun, seasoned corn, grapes, milk
Avon Middle School:
- Thursday: French toast sticks, sausage patties, hashbrowns, orange juice, milk
- Friday: Very cheesy grilled cheese sandwich, tomato soup, baked chips, diced peaches, milk
- Monday: Foot long hot-dog or turkey, bacon, cheese club, tator babies, cinnamon pears, milk
- Tuesday: Chicken parmesan sandwich, marinated veggie salad, cherry crisp, milk
- Wednesday: Fried chick wrap or pepperoni pizza, seasoned corn, pineapple tidbits, milk
- Thursday: Jumbo pretzel with cheese sauce or cheese burger, oven fries, fruit cocktail, milk
Avon High School:
- Thursday: French toast sticks, sausage patties, hashbrowns, orange juice, milk
- Friday: Very cheese grilled cheese sandwich, tomato soup, baked chips, diced peaches, milk

Athletic boosters meet
The Avon Athletic Booster Club will meet Tuesday, April 3, at 7:30 p.m. in the lecture hall of Avon High School.
