Historical Society meeting: The Avon Historical Society will meet on Monday, Jan. 7, 2002 in Old Town Hall at 7 p.m. The program, ''Approaches to Preserving Historic Structures,'' will feature speaker Kathleen C. Crowther, executive director, Cleveland Restoration Society. The public is invited.
Book discussion: The Adult Evening Book Discussion group will meet at the Avon Branch Library on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002 at 2 p.m. The book to be discussed will be, ''The Girl With The Pearl Earring.'' Copies of the book are available at the library.
