Avon's history told
Historian Jean Fischer, of the Avon Historical Society, will present a program about the history of Avon. The Sunday (1-7-01) presentation will begin at 2 p.m. at the Avon Branch Library. It is free and open to the public.
Booster clubs meetings
The Avon High School Band Booster Club will meet Tuesday, Jan. 9, at 7 p.m., and the Avon High School Choir Boosters Club will meet Wednesday, Jan. 10, at 7 p.m. Both meetings will be held at the high school.
VFW regular meeting
The Avon Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7035 will have its regular meeting Thursday, Jan. 11, at 8 p.m. The VFW Auxiliary will meet Monday, Jan. 15 at 7 p.m.
Investment Club's class
The first class of the Avon Investment Club will be Wednesday, Jan. 10, in the Avon Branch Library, at 7 p.m.
PTA meeting set
The Avon East Elementary PTA will meet Tuesday, Jan. 9, at 7 p.m. in the school library
Autumn Rebels
The Autumn Rebels will hold their monthly meeting at noon on 1-9-01 at the Barn, 37711 Detroit Road, Avon. A $ 5.75 catered lunch will be available. The featured program will be "Terrific piano player of all the old favorites."
All adults over 50 are welcome to attend the meeting. Reservations must be made three days in advance by calling Sis Wernert at (440) 934-4445.
