Youth car wash
A car wash will be held by the Youth Fellowship at the Avon United Methodist Church, on Saturday, July 7, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will benefit the Youth Mission Trip.
City Council meeting
Avon City Council will meet in regular session on Monday, July 9, at 7:30 p.m. in Avon City Hall, located at the corner of Chester and Center roads.
Missionary Luncheon
A Missionary Luncheon will feature Donna Lou Van Buren, missionary to Union Theological Seminary in the Philippines on Wednesday, July 11. A salad luncheon begins at 11 a.m. at the Avon United Methodist Church. There is no charge, however, a freewill offering will be taken. Call Becky Dougan at 366 5031 for reservations.
Celebrate Bastille Day
A Bastille Day celebration will be held at the Avon Branch Library at 11 a.m. or 1 p.m. Call, 934-4743, to preregister.
Bible school sign-up
Summer Bible School will be held at the Avon Baptist Church, 2575 Stoney Ridge Road, from Sunday, July 22 through 27, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Classes will be held for nursery children through adults. For additional information, call 933-2594.
