Research club meeting

The Avon Research Club will meet tomorrow at 1 p.m. in the Avon Branch Library. Jean Bartho, of Bay Village, will present a program on volunteers for the Cleveland Art Museum.

Pre-school parents fund-raiser

''Kid's Closet'' will be held by the Avon Pre-school Parents Club on Saturday, March 10, in Avon High School auditorium, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be baby and children's clothes, toys and furniture for sale. This event is open to the public.

Investment club to meet

The Detroit Road Investment Club will meet Sunday, March 11, at 11 a.m. at the Avon United Methodist Church. Anyone interested in improving their investment skills is welcome to attend.

Rebels' luncheon meeting

Autumn Rebels will meet Tuesday, March 13, at noon in The Barn, 37711 Detroit Road, for a catered lunch and program. ''The Kuties,'' a musical band directed by Clyde Matthews, will perform. Reservations for the $5.25 catered lunch can be made by calling Sis Wernert at 934-4445.

Attend antique show

The French Creek Association will sponsor ''The Heart of Avon Antiques Show'' Sunday, March 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Tom's Country Place. There will be a large variety of antiques, collectibles, and household items for sale.

Interested in investing?

Guests are welcome to join the Avon Investment Club when they meet on Monday, March 19, at 10:30 a.m. at the library.

Garden club's meeting

The Avon Garden Club have arranged for a special 7 p.m. meeting on Monday, March 19, in the Avon Branch Library, featuring Selene Loomis, of Green Mist Gardens, in Chardon. She will present a custom designed fun program, ''Mid Summer Nights Eve.'' Guests are welcome. For additional information, call Dolores at 937-6984 or Nancy at 933-7802.

- Thursday: Sloppy Joe on bun, tator tots, cinnamon pears, milk

- Friday: Grilled cheese, tomato soup, baby carrots and dip, applesauce, milk

- Monday: Egg roll with dipping sauce, fried rice and veggies, fortune cookie or Steak-um, French fries, pineapple tidbits, milk

- Tuesday: Rotini with meat sauce, seasoned breadstick, steamed broccoli, diced peaches, milk

- Wednesday: Cheesy pizza, garden salad, cinnamon pears, milk

- Thursday: French toast sticks, sausage patty, hashbrowns, orange juice, milk

Avon Middle School:

- Thursday: Sloppy Joe on bun with twisty fries or chicken Caesar with breadstick, cinnamon pears, milk

- Friday: Very cheesy grilled cheese sandwich, tomato soup, carrot sticks with dip, diced peaches, milk

- Monday: Chicken patty on bun or 2-4-1 corndog, tator tots, fruit punch, milk

- Tuesday: Pasta bar with rotini or mini Caesar salad, cheesy breadstick, pineapple tidbits, milk

- Wednesday: Pepperoni pizza or chef salad with biscuit, steamed broccoli, cinnamon pears, milk

- Thursday: Chicken fingers with oven fries or cottage cheese and fruit with muffin, milk

Avon High School:

- Thursday: Sloppy Joe on bun with twisty fries or chicken Caesar with breadstick, cinnamon pears, milk

- Friday: Very cheesy grilled cheese sandwich, tomato soup, carrot sticks with dip, diced peaches, milk

- Monday: Soft meat taco with Spanish rice or taco salad in a boat, fresh fruit salad, milk

- Tuesday: Pasta bar with rotini, mini Caesar salad, cheesy breadstick, pineapple tidbits, milk

- Wednesday: Chicken chowmein with fried rice or thick crusted pizza with garden salad, cinnamon applesauce, milk
