Seniors meeting: Avon Seniors Inc. meet Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the new Heritage School on Detroit Road.

Stories and crafts: Sign ups for Toddler Time, a free story and craft program for 2 to 3 year olds will be at the Avon Public Library. Pre-registration is required by calling 934-4743. The program will meet on this Thursday, Aug. 22, 29 and Sept. 5.

Open house: Avon East Elementary School will hold its open house on Wednesday, Aug. 21, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. This is a time for students and parents to meet the teachers, see the class rooms and tour the building and grounds. Parents will also be encouraged to sign up for PTA membership. For information, call the school office at 937-5565 or 937-6015.

Senior bus trip: Wednesday, Aug. 28, Avon Seniors Inc. are sponsoring a ''Gourmet for a Day'' bus trip to Erie, Pa. They will leave at 7 a.m. from the Avon Community Center. At Riverside Inn, a master chef will prepare an entire meal. The group will stop at the Blair Outlet Store. The price is $35 per person. Reservations can be made by calling Marlene or Randy Loth at 937-6723.
