Public Hearing: Residents will have a brief chance to voice their opinions about a proposed interchange on Interstate 90 near Nagel Rd. when City Council holds a public hearing next Monday. A 15-minute public hearing on the interchange will be held at 6:15 pm, Oct. 28, at City Hall .

Book discussions: The Tuesday Afternoon Book Discussion group for adults meets 2:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Avon Branch Library. The book to be discussed will be, ''Age of Innocence.'' Copies of the book are available at the library. For information, call 934-4743.

Book discussion: The Mother-Daughter Book Discussion Group will also meet 7:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Avon Branch Library. The discussion will be about ''The Great Gilly Hopkins'' by Katherine Paterson. Copies of the book are available at the library. New members are welcome.

The Wednesday Evening Book Discussion Group will meet 7 p.m. Nov. 6 at the Avon Branch Library. The book to be discussed will be ''Wish You Well.'' Copies of the book are available at the library. New members are welcome.

Junior Women's Club: All interested women are invited to attend the Avon Junior Women's Club monthly meeting 7 p.m. tonight at the Avon Community Center, 2155 Eaton Drive. Guest speaker will be Sue Cozzens, book reviewer for The Press. She will discuss her criteria for reviewing books and give tips on developing a book club.
