PLANNING COMMISSION: The Avon Planning Commission will hold a work session at 7 pm on Wednesday, 3-13-02, in the Council Chambers at City Hall on Chester Rd. to consider a landmark ordinance for preservation.
RELAY FOR LIFE PLANS: The next captains meeting of the Avon-Avon Lake Cancer Chapter will be tonight at 7 p.m. in the Old Fire Station, located at the corner of Lake Road and SR83, Avon Lake.
Plans are continuing for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life planned for May 31 and June 1.Interested persons should call Ada Taylor at 1-800-974-5186 or Nancy Scharfelt at 933-0775 to receive a packet of information.This is an event to support those who have lost someone to cancer.
ADVISORY COMMISSION: The Avon Senior Citizens Advisory Commission will meet at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, at the Avon Lions Community Center, Eaton Drive.
Members are urged to bring a wrapped White Elephant gift to be auctioned off. The business meeting will be followed by a fun and games period. Avon seniors are invited to attend.
