Seniors to meet: Avon Senior Citizens, Inc., will meet Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Lions Community Center, Eaton Drive. Officer nominees will be presented. Mike Ferrari, editor of the Avon Lake Press, will be the speaker.

Research club's agenda: Avon Research Club will meet Friday at 11 a.m. at Clementine's, 8092 Columbia Road, Olmsted Falls. The club will hold on election of officers, hear the historians report and tour the Junction Station.

Men's breakfast: The Men's Fellowship of the Avon United Methodist Church will meet at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at Cracker Barrell in Sheffield Village.

Rebels news: The Autumn Rebels will meet Tuesday, May 14, at noon at The Barn, 37711 Detroit Road, Avon, which includes a $6.25 catered lunch. Reservation can be made by calling Sis Wernert at 934-4445 three days prior to the luncheon. The Avon lake High School chorus will provide entertainment.

Book talk: The Adult Afternoon Book Discussion Group will discuss ''The World of Night'' by Lornas Milne on Tuesday, May 28, at the library. Copies of the book are available at the reference desk. New members are welcome. Sunday hours at the library will end on May 19.
