VFW: Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7035 will hold its regular men's meeting 8 p.m. Thursday. The VFW is also hosting Breakfast With Santa 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the post home. Reservations must be made by calling 934-9295.
Boosters to meet: The Avon High School Boosters Club will meet 7 p.m. Thursday at the high school. The Avon Middle School Boosters Club will meet 7 p.m. tomorrow at the middle school. The Avon Band Boosters will meet 7 p.m. tomorrow at the high school. The Heritage Elementary School Boosters meeting will be at the school 6:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Concert: The Avon High School Band Concert will be 7 p.m. Thursday at the high school.
Seniors outing: Avon Seniors will meet 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Tom's Country Place. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. at a cost of $10 per person, payable at the door. Reservations can be made by calling Mary Lou Greenwald at 934-0231.
Rebels unite: Autumn Rebels will meet noon tomorrow at The Barn. All adults over 50 are welcome. There will be a catered lunch costing $6.25. Reservations may be made with Sis Wernert by calling 934-4445. The program will be the Heavenly Chimes, directed by Barb Conrad.
Free lecture: The speaker for the Good Samaritan Nursing Facility's Thursday free lecture has changed. The Rev. William R. Pierce will talk about preparing for a changed holiday, for those who have lost a loved one, at 10 a.m. Refreshments will be served. Call 937-6201 to make reservations.
Tumbles and Cheers: A cheerleading and tumbling camp will be offered at Tumbles and Cheers, Avon, during the winter break. The camp will teach several chants, cheers, dancing, tumbling and mounting. The camp will be Dec. 27, 28 and 30. Kindergarten through fifth-graders will meet from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.; six- through 12th-graders, 10 a.m. to noon. Camp fee is $60, and all participants will receive a holiday T-shirt. Call the gym to register at 937-5591. Space is limited.
