Santa: There will be Christmas tree lighting at 6 pm on Saturday, 12-6-03, followed by Santa at the Gazebo, corner of Stoney Ridge and Detroit at 6:30 pm -- then across the street for Santa at the Old Town Hall at 7 pm.

If you want to help, the Old Town Hall is being decorated at 7 pm on Tuesday, 12-2-03.

Become a member: All interested women are invited to attend the next Avon Junior Women's Club monthly meeting Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. at the Avon Community Center, 2155 Eaton Drive. Featured speaker will be Dawn Meyer from Community Resource Services.

The Avon Junior Women's Club was founded in 1994 to bring together young women in Avon to work toward continuing to improve the community through charitable work and contributions. AJWC general membership meetings are held the third Monday of each month, September through May, at the Avon Community Center. Anyone interested in membership information, call Kate Fairchild at 937-9993.

Library family night: All ages are invited to attend Family Night Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Avon Branch Library. The free program features a story, craft and activities. Refreshments will be served. Preregistration is required by calling the library at 934-4743.

Women's club fund-raiser: Entertainment Books can still be purchased from Avon Women's Club for $25 each. They make great Christmas gifts. Call Dorrie at 934-5132 or Janet at 934-5670, for information or to order a book.
