Rah, rah, rah: The Avon Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring a Little Flippers Cheerleading Camp for children entering grades one through six. Attend one of the three-day camp sessions and learn cheers, sidelines, tumbling, jumps, dances, skits and mounts. Parents are invited for a pep rally on the last day. Each cheerleader gets a T-shirt for use in the program. Cost is $60. Camp dates are July 24, 25, 26 or Aug. 7, 8, and 9, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Avon Isle. Call Kris at 937-6945.

Soccer clinic: ''Just for Kicks Soccer Clinic,'' for kids ages 5 to 11, will be Aug. 13 to 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Schwartz Road Park. Cost is $10 per child and includes T-shirt, a light meal and clinic. Parents can eat for $1 per person. Children will be taught soccer fundamentals, foot skills, ball control, passing and shooting, all in an environment that will reinforce sportsmanship and an appreciation for the game. Registration must be made by Aug. 7 with New Community Baptist Church, P.O. Box 64, Avon 44011 or call 933 -8230.

Fun and stories: The Johnny Appleseed Reading Program for children, ''Johnny Appleseed and Ohio Orchards,'' will be read today at 7 p.m. at Avon Library and tomorrow at 11 a.m., 1 or 7 p.m. The free program includes stories, activities and a craft featuring an apple orchard theme. Preregistration is required at the library or call 934-4743.

Friends yard sale: Friends of the Avon Library are planning a yard sale Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the library. Donations are being accepted through Friday including furniture, large appliances, games, books and clothes. Drop off items at the library, 37485 Harvest Drive.

Summer festival: Holy Trinity Church will host its third annual summer festival Saturday, July 19, from noon to 10 p.m. at 33601 Detroit Road. The Ed Zalar Polka Band will play beginning at 3 p.m., and DJ Kenny Gilder will supply music for dancing. There will be a mist tent to keep cool. Mass will be held at 5 p.m. in front of Father Misenko's home. A tuition to Holy Trinity School will be raffled, as well as a trip for two to Mountaineer Race Track Resort in West Virginia and a Sony Vega television. For more information, call 937-6726.
