It's a mystery!: Sixth through 12th graders are invited to attend a mystery program at the Avon Branch Library, Friday, July 11 at 1:30 p.m. Using the clues and evidence provided, be among the first to solve the mystery of the injured rock star and win prizes. Snacks will be provided afterwards. Pre-registration is required by calling the library at 934-4743.

Rah, rah, rah: The Avon Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring a Little Flippers Cheerleading Camp. Kids entering first through sixth grade can participate in the three-day camp that includes cheers, sidelines, tumbling, jumps, dances, skits and mounts. Parents are invited for a pep rally on the final day. Each cheerleader gets a T-shirt that is used in the Little Flippers cheerleading program. Cost is $60. Camp dates are July 24 to 26 or Aug. 7 to 9, from 9 a.m. to noon at Avon Isle. Call Kris at 937-6945 to register.

Library sale: Friends of the Avon Library will hold a yard sale, Saturday, July 19, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., selling books, collectibles, jewelry, household items. Items can be brought to the library during regular hours July 14 to 18. No clothes and no pre-sales. Proceeds support the library activities.
