Mystery program: Sixth through 12th graders are invited to attend a mystery program at the Avon Branch Library, Friday, July 11, at 1:30 p.m. Using clues and evidence provided, be among the first to solve the mystery of the injured rock star and win prizes. Snacks will be provided afterwards. Preregistration is required by calling the library at 934-4743.

Seniors dinner: Avon Seniors, Inc. will have its second annual dinner, Sunday, July 13, at 4 p.m., at the Heritage School on Detroit Road in Avon. Cost is $9.50 for adults and $5 for children 12 years and younger. Menu includes roast pork dinner, salad, rolls and dessert. Advance reservations are required before July 7. Make checks paybable to: Avon Seniors, Inc., 2212 Langford Lane, Avon 44011. Seating is limited. Tickets can be picked up at the ''Welcome Table'' the day of the dinner.

Give blood: The American Red Cross bloodmobile will be in the following locations this week:
