Getting ready for kindergarten: Avon Local Schools will have a kindergarten information night Thursday at 7 p.m. in the gymnasium at Avon Village School, 36600 Detroit Road. Parents or guardians of children who will be 5 by Aug. 1 should attend. There will be an opportunity to schedule an appointment for kindergarten screening.
It's family night: Families with children 3 years old and up are invited to Family Night, a free program featuring a spring theme with a story, craft and refreshments March 11 at 7 p.m. at the Avon Branch Library. Pre-registration is required by calling the library at 934-4743.

Elementary:
