French Creek Christmas: French Creek Association will hold their annual Christmas Candlelite Walk Dec. 3 from 6 to 10 p.m., Dec. 4 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Dec. 5 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the French Creek District locations along SR 254, SR 611, Stoney Ridge and east of SR 83. Visit Santa at a donut breakfast Dec. 4, 10 a.m. to noon at Avon's Village School.

The tree lighting ceremony will be held Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. in the gazebo at Heritage Square on the corner of Detroit Road and SR 611. Santa will arrive by "sleigh" to illuminate the lights and pass out gifts at the Old Town Hall at 6:30 p.m. across from the gazebo.

The Avon Lions, the French Creek Development Association, and the Avon Historical Society will help Santa present children with small gifts at the Old Town Hall of 1871, corner of Detroit and Stoney Ridge, at 6:30 pm, across from the Gazebo.

Craft Bazaar: The Avon United Methodist Church, 37711 Detroit Road will hold its Christmas in the Barn Craft Bazaar, Dec. 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission to the bazaar is free.

Pancake breakfast: The Avon Band Boosters are holding their All-You-Can-Eat Pancake Breakfast Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Avon High School on Detroit Road. Tickets are $5 per person with children under 5 free and can be preordered from Chris Gilder at 937-9937. Tickets are also available at the door.

Christmas luncheon: Avon Seniors Inc. will be hosting its annual Christmas luncheon at the Avon Oaks Country Club, Dec. 8 at 11 a.m. Cost per person is $17 and people are encouraged to sign up by Dec. 3. For more information, call Jane Richard at 934-6944.

Library programs: Family night will be held Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. This free program will include a Christmas story and ornament craft. Preregistration is required by calling 934-4743.

The next sessions of Toddler Time will be starting on Thursdays in December at 10:30 a.m. The story program is for 24 to 36 month olds and their caregiver. Call 934-4743 to register.
