Reading program kick-off

The 1999 Summer Reading Program kick-off is tonight at 7 featuring 'First Lady of Spin' Linda Sengpiel, who will demonstrate yo-yo tricks and techniques. The program will be held at the Avon Village School gym.

Parks, recreation meeting

The Avon Parks and Recreation Commission meets tonight at 7:30 in Avon City Hall.

New officers elected

The Avon Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 7035 installed new officers recently with Andy Feuchter, commander; Sharon Feuchter, president of the auxiliary. The auxiliary will meet Monday at 7 p.m. at the post home at 16950 Mills Road.

Program for home owners

Wendy Wills will present 'Home Sales by Owner,' a program held at Avon Library on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Pre-registration is necessary. Call 934-4743
