Church's Christmas bazaar
The Holy Trinity Church Christmas bazaar will be Saturday in the church hall, 2630 Nagel Road, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a large variety of craftspeople on hand, including artist Joyce Drozdowski, who will have carved and painted Avon landmarks for sale or to order. Admission is free.
Turkey fund-raiser
St. Mary Church will hold its turkey raffle Sunday at 7:15 p.m. in the church hall. The public is invited to attend.

Booster club meeting
The Avon Booster Club will meet at the Avon High School next Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Veterans turkey/ham
Avon Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7035, will have a turkey/ham raffle Saturday, Nov. 20, at 8 p.m. at the post home, 36950 Mills Road. The public is invited. Donations are being accepted for food baskets for the area needy now through Dec. 17.
Donations accepted at church
Supplies are needed for Genesis House, the home for battered women and abused children, or canned goods for Avon Cares. Donations may be dropped off in the narthex of the Avon United Methodist Church, 37711 Detroit Road.
Adult book discussion
The Adult Book Discussion Group will discuss the book, 'Cloud Splitter,' at the Avon Branch Library next Tuesday, Nov. 23, at 2 p.m. New members are welcome.
