Council work session
Avon City Council will meet for a work session next Monday at 7:30 p.m. in council chambers in City Hall located at the corner of Chester and Center roads.
Preschool club membership drive
The annual membership drive by Avon Preschool Parents Club will be held Sunday, Aug. 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Schwartz Road Park Pavilion, Jaycox and Schwartz roads. The club is a family organization providing educational and social activities to parents and children age birth through kindergarten.
Story time for toddlers
Avon Branch Library will offer a Toddler Time story program for 2- to 3-year-olds and their parents or caregiver in August. The sessions will meet on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Pre-registration is required by calling 934-4743.
Garden club tour
Avon Garden Club will tour Viola Free's Garden, 2837 Center Road, Avon on Tuesday, Aug., 17 at 7 p.m. New members are welcome. For information call Gretchen Shimola at 937-6276.
