Avon High graduation
Commencement exercises for Avon High School will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Avon High School gymnasium.
Coming to a close
The last day of school for Avon students will be next Wednesday, and the school's guidance office will closed for the summer on Friday, June 18.
Veterans meeting set
Lorain County Council of the Veterans of Foreign Wars will meet at the Avon Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 7035 Tuesday in the post home at 8 p.m. The post is located at 36950 Mills Road.
Garden Club
The Avon Garden Club will continue to meet during the summer, starting with a tour on June 15 to Lorain County Metro Parks Schoephfle Garden in Birmingham. Those attending should meet at the Avon Branch Library to car pool at 7 p.m. For additional information, call Gretchen Shimola at 937-6176 or Deb Morris at 934-1093.
