Autumn Rebels luncheon
Autumn Rebels will meet at the Avon United Methodist Church, Tuesday, Dec. 14, at noon for a catered lunch. Cost is $5.75. The program presented will be 'Christmas Music, Heavenly Chimes,' directed by Barb Conrad. Reservations may be made by calling Sis Wernert at 934-4445.
Library's 'Books for Babies'
Parents with children 1 year old or younger are urged to visit the Avon Branch Library to receive a free goody bags. The bags contains a book, a baby bib, reading list and other small gifts. The 'Books for Babies' program is funded through a Nord Family Foundation gift.
Investment club to meet
The Detroit Road Investment Club will meet Sunday, Dec. 12 at 10:30 a.m. in the parlor of the Avon United Methodist Church. Guests are always welcome.

Today: Meatball hoagy, tator tots, sherbet, Christmas cookie
Friday: Grilled cheese, tomato soup with croutons, potato wedge, apple juice
Monday: Crisp taco, Spanish rice, mixed fruit
Tuesday: Chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes with gravy, dinner roll, buttered carrots, diced pears
Wednesday: Cheese pizza, pretzels, fruited Jell-O
Thursday: Cheeseburger, French fries, diced peaches
AVON HIGH SCHOOL

Fitness, conditioning program
The Avon Recreation Department is sponsoring a six-week physical fitness conditioning program, Jan. 10 to Feb. 17. The classes will be Monday and Thursday evenings from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Avon High School conditioning room. The cost is $40 per person. Class size is limited.
