Preschool information day: The Avon Preschool Parents Club will hold its annual Preschool Information Day at Avon High School, 37545 Detroit Road, on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. Parents are invited to meet with local preschool representatives and learn more about the preschool.
K of C program: The Isabella Guild of the Knights of Columbus will present a program titled ''Bloom Where You're Planted or Transplanted.'' Sharon Hargrove, wife of former Cleveland Indians manager Mike Hargrove, is speaker. Her presentation will be Feb. 23 at 7:30 p.m. at the K of C, 1783 Moore Road, Avon. French Creek Nature Center fun:
Amateurs and professionals alike can sing or play music in a new monthly program on Sundays from 7 to 8:30 p.m. A cafe atmosphere will be provided by Cravings Cafe.
Mona Rutger, founder and operator of Back to the Wild, will speak Saturday [1-22-05] from noon to 1 p.m. Back to the Wild is one of the largest wildlife rehabilitation and education centers in Ohio.
If trees pique your interest, stop down Sunday [1-23-05] from 2 to 3 p.m. to identify trees in a moderate hike.
