The French Creek Development Association meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM at the Avon Lion's Community Center on Eaton Road just off Colorado and across from Northgate Park.

In 1999, the Association, with the help of many businesses and residents, completed work on Heritage Park at French Creek Square, featuring the gazebo located at the corner of Detroit and Stoney Ridge.

Other activities of the French Creek Development Association include

• the Centennial Plaza project;

• an annual barbecue rib and chicken dinner;

• coordinating the Downtown Ohio / Mainstreet effort; and

• participating in Avon's city-wide Aunt Teak and Uncle Junque Yard Sale.
